Degree Requirements of the Graduate Institute of Museum Studies
 
1. 30 total credits (museum internship not included)
2. Courses offered outside of department must be approved by the student’s supervisor, director and department faculty board. No more than
 6 credits can be counted in courses offered outside the major department.
3. Prior to presenting a thesis viva, students are required to obtain a “Master candidate”, its eligibility
criteria are as follows:
a.Having completed all required credits.
b.Having presented a research paper at least once in an academic journal or conference.
c.Having acquired the minimum scores of foreign languages proficiency required by the department.
d. At least 4 months prior to the viva, students have to pass the thesis proposal in a satisfactory manner designated by the department.
